MANITOBA HORSE COUNCIL ANNOUNCES THE 2015 VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR - ROD HART

Rod Hart has been a driving force behind the Manitoba Miniature Horse Club since its inception. He was a founding member in 1993 and has been Vice President and President for a number of years since then.

He has been instrumental in helping club members to develop their skills through organizing clinics with well respected clinicians. He has also conducted many local clinics on his own farm - most of which have been at no cost to participants. He provides coaching and mentoring assistance to club members at both clinics and shows.

You can see Rod with his 8 horse hitch at many parades and fairs. He also spends a week at Brandon Winter Fair every year promoting Miniature Horses!

Rod and his wife, Heather, have sponsored a Youth Participation Award to recognize youth who actively participate in promoting Miniature Horses. The development of youth has always been a priority for Rod. He was a 4H leader with Graysville for many years and you can often see Rod at clinics riding with a youngster, helping him/her to develop confidence and experience.

CONGRATULATIONS ROD! The members of the Manitoba Horse Council recognize the incredible value of volunteer time in keeping our sport alive and vital!

Thank you for everything you have done and keep up the good work!!!
