Manitoba Horse Council

Manitoba Horse Council (MHC) is a not-for-profit organization representing clubs and individual members involved in equine activity in Manitoba. MHC is the recognized governing body for equestrian sport in the province; providing support, leadership and resources to develop athletes and protect the interests of Manitoba's equestrian enthusiasts.


July 31, 2019: Vesicular Stomatitis Alert - horses travelling into Canada from US

Regardless of any other documents (including USDA veterinary certificates), no horse originating from States where VS has been reported may enter Canada if the date of arrival at the border is more than THREE DAYS following the first report of VS in their respective State, and ONLY WITH a current USDA Health Certificate and a vet inspection at the border.

Affected states are: Texas, New Mexico, Colorado, Wyoming, Oklahoma.

Save the Date: Manitoba Multi-Discipline Team Challenge

September 20, 21, 22, 2019. MHC Equestrian Facility, Birds Hill Park. Teams will comprise Dressage, Western Style Dressage, Hunter/Jumper, Driving, Endurance, Competitive Trail, Eventing and Polo. Prize List is available here.
