East Gate Closed to Horse Trailers during Folk Festival

Parks officials have advised that horse owners coming to ride in Birds Hill Park during Folk Festival will not be able to enter via the East Gate. In previous years, traffic congestion, due to the numbers of festival goers, has resulted in long waits for vehicles entering the park which posed safety concerns for animals and people.
