Springfield Horse Community

Springfield Horse Community

The Springfield Horse Community formed in 2013 to promote horse trails as part of active transportation in the RM of Springfield. Their mission was to have the area around Birds Hill Park identified as a horse community. They have garnered the support of various councils and raised funds to install 32 Share the Road signs in the area, promoting safety for everyone using the roads. A grant from Peavy Mart funded six Welcome signs. They continue to advocate for the local horse community focusing on safety, trail access, and connections among the many horse owners in the RM of Springfield. Lifetime membership in SHC is $10/person or $25/family.
