Cloud 9 Ranch is hosting its 13th annual General Performance Open Show with prize money! New is Speed Events the evening before starting at 5:00 pm - Barrel Racing, Ribbon Race (2 riders hold ribbon and race to other end around 1 barrel and back), Pole Bending, Keyhole, Hunter and Hare. Age divisions, as of January 1st, are 10 and under, 11-17, 18 and older. Divisions for everyone, Western or English, slow or fast, young and old, beginner and advanced! All ages Walk/Jog division and no cross entries into loping classes with same horse, does not apply for Speed Events night before. Start with English Equitation and Pleasure, then Halter Mares, Halter Geldings, 2 & Under Lungeline (2 yr olds must be under saddle-western or english), Showmanship, Leadline, Western Horsemanship and Pleasure, Trail, In Hand Trail for horses 2 & under. New is a division of All Ages (rider and horse) Ranch classes to end the day, including Working Western Rail, Ranch Riding, Ranch Trail and Ranch Conformation (be sure you can pull a sled with weight behind you). Visit AQHA to understand how these classes are judged. Yes cross entries allowed between regular classes and Ranch however minimal silver on Ranch tack, breast collar and back cinch recommended in Ranch classes, wear ranch looking clothing, not blingy. No bands, braids or fake tails for Ranch classes, hoof black and clipping allowed. Ranch classes are at end of the day, with Ranch Conformation as last class. Use rope, nylon or leather halter with no silver. Walk/Jog Division classes include English Equitation, English Pleasure, Showmanship, Western Pleasure, Western Horsemanship, Trail, Ranch Working Western Rail, Ranch Riding. High Point Awards for Speed Event, Ranch Classes, Walk/Jog and Overall, for both days in all age divisions. Age divisions for General Performance classes are 17 and under, 18 and over. Prize Money will be jackpotted with added money! $5 per class to enter.
