Two new directors and five incumbents were elected to the MHC Board of Directors at the Annual General Meeting on April 25, 2024.

Robert 'Bobby' Wuskynyk, owner of Red Rose Ranch (2 hours north of Winnipeg near Dallas, MB) was elected for his first term and Wanda McFadyen, returned to the board after an absence. Both directors spoke of their passion for horses and Manitoba's equine community. Returning to the Board are: Jack Boughen, Eryn Butterfield, Tanis Jones, Sarah Read and Lana Stevenson.

To allow for the implementation of staggered terms (one-third of board elected annually), for this year only, directors were elected to the following terms:

1-year: Lana Stevenson, Wanda McFadyen

2-year: Jack Boughen, Tanis Jones

3-year: Eryn Butterfield, Sarah Read, Bobby Wuskynyk

From here on, directors will be elected to three year terms.

At the organizational meeting held following the AGM, the following were elected as officers:

Lana Stevenson, President

Angela Janz, VP Governance

Eryn Butterfield, VP Finance

Other directors include: Katie Webb and Geri Sweet (Past President). The VP Finance position is currently vacant.
